Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026. Have a lawyer review before launch.
1. Service
Checked Law is a Microsoft Word add-in that helps legal professionals mark, verify, and record quality checks on document content. The audit trail is stored inside your document file.
2. License
Your subscription grants a non-transferable license to use Checked Law. You may not share your license key or allow others to use your subscription. Firm licenses are limited to the agreed number of users and email domain.
3. Professional responsibility
Checked Law is a workflow tool, not legal advice. You remain solely responsible for verifying document content and for your professional duties. We do not warrant that the add-in will detect all errors or omissions.
4. Trial and billing
Solo subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. After the trial, your card is charged monthly unless you cancel. Cancel anytime via the Stripe customer portal or by contacting support. Firm licenses are billed per agreement.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
